FAQ: FRESH FRUITS
What fresh fruits do you export from South Africa?
We export South African fresh avocado, apple, citrus fruits, and other seasonal fresh produce. South Africa is one of the world’s leading fresh fruit exporters due to its Southern Hemisphere growing season, which allows year-round supply when Northern Hemisphere production is off-season. This gives South African fresh fruit a significant timing advantage for buyers in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia who need supply between June and November when Northern Hemisphere harvests are not available.
Which countries do you export fresh fruits to?
We export fresh fruits to buyers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Morocco, and Algeria. Contact us at sales@bbimportersandexporters.co.za to confirm current availability and pricing for your destination.

The primary import markets for bulk nuts are China, the UAE, Japan, South Korea, Germany, the Netherlands, and Saudi Arabia. China is the world’s largest nut importer. The UAE is the regional distribution hub for the entire Middle East and North Africa nut market. European buyers particularly source almonds, cashews, and macadamia nuts from Africa.
